Haryana Food Processing Industry Policy
- Integrated Cold Chain having the Components in 11 Centres:
- Minimal Processing Centre at the farm level including weighing, sorting, grading, waxing, packing, pre-cooling. CA/MA Cold Storage, normal storage and IQF.
- Mobile pre-cooling vans and reefer trucks.
- Distribution hubs with CA/MA Chamber/Cold Storage/Variable Humidity Chambers, Packing facility, CIP fog treatment, IQF and blast freezing.
- Modernization of Abattoirs – setting up in PPP mode.
- Human Resource Development – upgradation of existing Single line
Food Processing Training Centre into a Multiline Training Centre by introducing Diploma courses in Food Processing technology, EDP/Training FPI sector Awareness programme etc.
- S. Kula Women’s College, Nambol, Bishnupur District, introduced a course on Food Processing Technology with the assistance of Ministry of FPI, GOI, under Manipur University.
- ITI, Imphal East & West is also introducing Diploma Course on Fruit & Vegetables preservation under World Bank assistance.
- Implementation of HACCP/ISO 2000, Food Safety and Quality Management system.
- R&D in foods and process food sector in Universities and other institutions
- Setting up of Food Quality Control & Testing Laboratories. (1 one) under Indo-Myanmar Border Trade, 1 (one) in the Food Park at Nilakuthi and 1 (one) at Food Processing Centre Complex, Porompat, Imphal East.
- Implementation of Quality of Street Food at Imphal City.
- Setting up of new FPI Units, Modernization/Upgradation of existing Units.
